For the third week of Baylor Football’s matchups dad and I filmed a video of ourselves outrageously reacting to the game, and this one is our Baylor vs. Texas with us compilation (here’s our most recent video of us watching Baylor vs. BYU two weeks ago!). I first had the idea to film myself and my dad watching the Baylor games because we agree on basically everything sports related and I thought it would be a fun concept that no one else I knew was doing. Thankfully after posting our first video after the West Virginia game three weeks ago, a new Baylor friend shared it on Twitter and lots of avid Baylor fans like ourselves seemed to truly love watching our fanatic reactions to sacks, touchdowns, and bad plays. When I posted the video on Instagram, there was a similar interest in seeing more of our game-watching POVs, so after dad agreed continue broadcasting ourselves, I made “Watch Baylor vs. BYU with Me and Dad” and now “Watch Baylor vs. Texas with Me and Dad!” This week’s game was way too early at 6 am, but we powered through and were up before the sunrise. The only bad part of filming is that I have to actually watch the entire game and not hide behind walls and corners during stressful moments. When we played BYU, after a while, it seemed like Baylor had the upper hand and wasn’t going to give up the victory. On the contrary, Baylor’s matchup against Texas on Saturday (read my game recap here!) was a back-and-forth battle that kept me stressed until the last second (even after Texas’ QB threw 4 consecutive incompletions and turned the ball over on downs with 1 minute left). Dad and I were loud the entire time, but the highlights were senior WR Tyquan Thornton’s TD pass to fellow senior WR R.J. Sneed in the first quarter, senior RB Trestan Ebner’s final TD run to give Baylor a larger lead, and senior CB Kalon Barnes’ pass breakup on Texas’ 4th down to secure the victory. I hope you like this week’s video and stay tuned for next week’s one when we play TCU!
