I know, how many times can I wear/share these blue jeans (last seen here)? I almost can’t help myself. I have two pairs and they’re my favorites ever! But the topic at hand isn’t exactly my most worn denim—it’s how I’m switching up my closet staples by pairing them with colorful and/or patterned pieces for everyday looks that don’t become repetitive! Thankfully (in the sense that I get to see my friends and dress up every day) I’m still going in to work despite the pandemic, so I’m constantly trying to make my outfits seem fun and lively. Some of my favorite pieces, staples and trendy ones, are like this warm Madewell top—colorful and bright in an easy shape. This blouse has a pattern I wouldn’t normally reach for as I usually detest brown (except for my warm Madewell bag, which doesn’t make sense I know!) and any other warmer colors, but I loved the small flowers and color combination. It has a bit of poppy red, beige, lavender, and black woven against a saddle brown background not unlike that of my favorite brown tote. I paired the floral top with the aforementioned favorite jeans that fit like a glove because what else would I be wearing? The top would actually be beautiful with a denim or black skirt as well. My warm Madewell saddle bag is my go-to for every occasion that doesn’t require lots of movement or my beloved 10 pound journal. The last piece of the outfit is my black patent Mary Jane flats I got online from J.Crew last year, which instantly dress up any look! Because the leather was a little stiff upon opening, they needed to be worn in a few times, but now they’re perfect.
