When I was in my teens and very early 20s (I do gag every time I think about being 26 and nearly 27 until I remember that means I’m closer to retirement), I didn’t used to pay as much attention to my footwear as I did to say, dresses, tops, and jackets. As long as I had a trusty pair of black leather combat boots (middle and high school), beige Cole Haan sneakers (college), or pink Cole Haan mules (early 20s), I was set for my daily outfits (with the odd bright J.Crew heels here and here when I was lucky enough to splurge!). However, now that my closet is full of bright colors, patterns, and styles, I love finishing every look with the perfect pair of flats, sneakers, or kitten heels. I’ve worn my yellow Mary Jane Tbilisi flats almost every day since I purchased them early last year, so I was looking for a ballet flat alternative I could swap with other outfits. I was originally gifted the pink J.Crew Zoe Ballet Flats for Christmas in 2021 (last seen here) and wore them to the absolute ground, so I luckily found a brand new pair on Poshmark last week! I am in love with this shoe color, style, and immense comfort level, so I’m thrilled to have them as another flat I can wear with my colorful daily looks! I was also gifted these nude Prada flats from my extremely generous aunty who couldn’t fit the shoes. I’ve never owned a pair of designer shoes before (outside of what I consider to be designer in Charlotte Stone!), so these are an exceptionally special pair to include in my closet. The only other pointy toed flats I have are Cole Haan or J.Crew mules, which make these gifted flats a different type of classic addition that will look perfect with wide leg pants or midi skirts!
