Three Everyday Lip Options

I’ve always loved lip products more than other makeup options. I sported sticky Lip Smackers glosses in elementary school and MAC Russian Red Lipstick in high school (who wears a matte red lipstick to school everyday?) before calming tf down and sticking with subtle pink shades. Not one to quit the bold lip cold turkey, I still throw on my beloved Burberry Lip Velvet in Oxblood for my “man repeller” days, but I mainly employ balms and sheer lipsticks on a daily basis. I’ve been wearing the NARS Lipstick in Dolce Vita almost every day for the past four years and I’m still in love with its creamy formula and satin finish. The lipsticks in the line are all pigmented without looking like a full-bodied matte. Dolce Vita is a “my lips but better” shade that matches every eye look! I love pairing it with big lashes and a light base for a no makeup-makeup face. I recently shared the NARS Lipstick in Orgasm, which is a similar shade and finish to Dolce Vita, but with a hint more glam. This lipstick is a pink-peach shade with gold sparkle to mimic the brand’s classic blush. It’s perfect for days where a satin look isn’t enough as it combines the feel of a lipstick with the sparkly finish of a gloss. It looks perfect with toned down makeup so the gold sparkle can really shine! I’ve worn the L’Oreal Colour Riche Nude Balm in Heavenly Berry off and on since high school because I love the pink-plum color and comfortable glossy texture. The balm doesn’t last long, but it packs a punch of color in a little tube. The pinkest of the bunch, I love how it pairs with mauve blush and a smokey eye.
