This Is Noelle 2.0

After six years of blogging, I finally made the transition to a self-hosted WordPress account with a new domain: Thisisnoelle.com (thisisnoelle.blogspot.com has now ceased to exist, so bookmark this new url)! I’ve been wanting to trade my free, basic Blogger account for a more professional WordPress site for years now, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The process took a few days to research which hosting platform would work best for my budget and preference, and after trying to transfer my whole blog to WordPress, I knew I needed help. Who knew that changing code, working on plugins, and creating your own server could be the actual worst? Somehow after the migration, all of my photos turned blue and blurry, and I couldn’t get every picture to load. That’s where Phil from pipdig came in. I purchased their WordPress migration, which made the whole journey from Blogger to WordPress completely seamless! In my new site, there’s a drop down menu that lists all of my written topics, slider of my four most recent posts, a popular post bar, links to all of my social media accounts where you can follow me, an Instagram side bar, plugin where you can see my most recent tweets (yikes I better censor myself now), and a full archive of all of my articles since 2012. I would love to add a more personalized header in the near future, but the overall look of my website is perfect to me. I grew a little burnt out on blogging over the past two months (and six years), but breathing new life into my blog has inspired me to write once again. I would love to know your thoughts on the look and accessibility of my new blog, so please leave me comments on how you think the final product turned out!
