Waco has been unusually cold over the past month, so when I went to New York, I was extremely prepared for the low temperatures. We went all over the city on our first day and this layered outfit kept me warm and toasty even when it hit the low 20s. I wore a thick blue sweater from J.Crew under my rag & bone peacoat- my most treasured high school graduation gift from my parents! The coat is wool and has huge pockets for me to stick my hands in (and no, those are gloves, not my pink Patrick Star-esque fingers). To keep my legs from becoming too icy, I wore a pair of leggings underneath my favorite black J.Crew jeans, which I tucked into these classic and comfortable-as-hell leather boots from Cole Haan! I added this gorgeous camel cashmere scarf to stick my face in when the wind started blowing (See dad? I was decently prepared!) but I had to finish the look with my favorite colorful yarn ball earrings and my pink scalloped purse.
