My dad has always loved the Sperry Top-Sider Boat Shoes and I never really understood why. Of course, they matched his Brook’s Brothers and Polo loving personality in which he paired them with both jeans and polos and khaki pants and Reyn Spooner shirts. The classic boat shoe was invented in 1935 when Paul Sperry, an avid sailor and inventor decided to create a non-slip shoe. The shoes are very preppy and classic but they weren’t “my style” until I recently visited their website and saw all of their amazing styles! I found a handful of the classic shoes that I could pair with my mostly all black wardrobe to incorporate a bit of prep in my style! These shoes are definitely on my wishlist for the summer and just in case I ever step on a boat (especially since aforementioned dad recently started sailing lessons)!
