If you all thought I’d slow down on the clothing and accessory purchases since the great birthday/Christmas spending haul of 2019, you’d be wrong (I just don’t have any self control)! You see, I assumed the budgeting notebook I bought when I started working at Legal Aid would force me to look at my spending and saving in a more mature and realistic way, but I can’t stop buying beautiful things. But just look at these perfect pink shoes! Are they not the most gorgeous flats you’ve ever seen? I think where my Loeffler Randall sparkly gold heels represent me in the ‘over the top going out’ fashion, these Cole Haan Piper Alligator Embossed Leather Mules are the daytime epitome of me. I found these perfect pink slides at Nordstrom Rack (obviously–I basically only visit that store to shop for CH shoes anyway) while on a mission for a classic nude heel, but when I stumbled on this pair, I couldn’t put them down. Of course, there was only one blush shoe in a size 7 (for some reason I always find a lone wolf Cole Haan shoe in a 7 that fits me perfectly, even though I wear a 7.5 or 8) and they were comfortable and beautiful and fit like a glove. I love this shade of pink as well because it’s a pastel pink, slightly beige-blush that matches most of my wardrobe contents while also being entirely new and unique. I wore these perfect pink flats with a blush tank top tucked into my denim skirt (kind of featured above) and finished the look with small gold hoop earrings and my brown Madewell tote. The flats looked great with this easily thrown together outfit, but they’d also be great with a white tweed dress or any work appropriate skirt. And to think I purchased them on sale for less than $100!
