The Perfect Pink Checkered Pants

Pink checkered pants

Elodie top (similar here), Zara pants, J.Crew shoes (similar here), Madewell bag

Is there any clothing or accessory print that screams summer more than gingham? Seersucker maybe? Florals or tie-dye? All are great options (tie-dye not included ever), but gingham is probably my favorite one. I love wearing a fun punch of color in my spring and summer clothes and I think this outfit is girly and warm weather-ready even with the inclusion of these checkered pants. Most people wouldn’t assume work pants fit in the regular summer fashion climate and for good reason. Summer here in HawaiĘ»i has been especially warm, but these checkered pants don’t make me especially sweaty during my car rides to and from work. I’ve been such a fan of Zara’s clothing over the past several seasons as they’ve completely stocked their stores and website with pretty current pieces and retro trendy favorites. My mom herself noticed my recent Zara haul was full of 60’s inspired tops and dresses (I unfortunately had to return almost all of them!) and while I love that season’s looks, this outfit highlighting my pink checkered pants are a little more my style. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good mustard dress with chunky sunglasses and heels, but gingham is such an understated pattern that instantly turns any outfit into a picnic-ready ensemble. I paired my new favorite hot pink gingham pants from Zara (of course) with a simple textured white tee from Elodie (I love their tops as cheaper dupes for the already slightly cheap Brandy Melville). I love the pairing for the office and I of course styled the look with my “library shoes” aka the greenest faux-alligator pointy toe flats you ever did see. I closed the outfit with my every day Madewell shoulder bag and the look is complete! I love you, pink checkered pants!
