March is the awkward stage between the-end-of-winter and not-quite-spring where the weather is still cool but the sun is peeking out. When the flowers start to bloom and the crisp air turns a bit sweatier, I like to sport a lighter base and sheer, bright lips.
The first product in this month’s beauty bundle is the Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Melting Cleanser. This cleanser is a balm-to-oil, which transforms from a thicker gel consistency to a liquid oil when massaged into the skin. It has a light fragrance and refreshes and plumps the face. I’ll be using this when my drier patches need a bit more moisture or when everything is looking a bit dull and gray. It adds instant hydration and glow to the skin, which is perfect for spring! Next up is my favorite Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer in Ochre for the perfect everyday base. I used this all throughout summer and it leaves the skin with a light wash of tint and sun protection. I’ll be trying to ease up on the heavier face products and instead focus on sheer coverage and intense concealers. For mascara I’ll be wanting big bold lashes, which will be credited to the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara. This product adds voluminous lashings to the eyes and doesn’t go clumpy. It’s extremely black, which will stand out against bare skin and a sheer bold lip. The two lip products I’ll be using throughout the rest of March are the Urban Decay Naked Lipgloss in Sesso and the Lipstick Queen Endless Moisturizing Lipstick in Aloha. The Urban Decay lipgloss is the perfect “my lips but sheenier” gloss that adds a hint of color and shine to bare lips. It’s hydrating and doesn’t leave the lips sticky for my hair to get stuck in. The Lipstick Queen lipstick is lightweight, sheer, and packs a punch of color for spring. Aloha is a pinky-red shade, which is absolutely beautiful!
