Although I never used them before, primers have become essential to my daily routine. From pore minimizers to grease busters, priming agents help makeup to last longer and look fresh after a long day.
I’ve been using the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze for the past couple of years and it’s made my eyeshadows last up to 16 hours without creasing or fading. The color is beautiful and the finely milled shimmer made the shadow wearable on its own. The only downside to the cream shadow is the color payoff when used underneath powders. I almost always wear a bronze smoky eye but sometimes I want to wear pale shadows or colors besides brown. Using the Color Tattoo is great for brown shadows but for any eye look imaginable, I’ve been using the NARS Pro Prime Smudgeproof Shadow Base. The NARS primer makes any eyeshadow last all day long without any extra color or creasing. It’s a little expensive compared to the Maybelline Color Tattoo, but it’s definitely worth it for those who love their eyeshadow looks!
