I know that there are tons of beauty tips out there (heck, I write about them everyday!), but I’ve got a serious good’un today! Finding a foundation/BB cream to last on my oily skin is a daily battle and I think I’ve finally won. I recently saw a video that Wayne Goss, makeup artist and YouTuber, created that was about an amazing tip to get your foundation to last all day.
The video basically states that by applying moisturizer/primer and a loose powder before foundation, it will fill in large pores and fine lines. The powder will also add a thin layer of coverage and will further mattify the skin before applying the liquids. I know that it sounds crazy to dust powder on the face before liquid foundation, but it really works, guys! I tried this tip out with one of my “quickest to fade” foundations: Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, which lasts a whole 4-5 hours before becoming a greasy mess. I first rubbed my Simple Hydrating Light Moisturizer all over my face before adding a light dusting of the Coty Airspun Loose Powder. After the powder had settled into my skin, I applied VA with my fingers all over any red and patchy areas. I kid you not, I wore the foundation for around 13 hours two days ago without any separation or extreme oiliness. I did have to blot around the 6 hour mark which is normal, but the foundation pretty much stayed on my skin all day long! I highly recommend you try this tip out and let me know how it works for you!
