My Junior Year Checklist

My first two years of college flew by and somehow I’m already entering my third! I’m expecting lots of school work, hours of athletic events, dozens of expensive books to buy, and immense stress from Japanese. This year will also be full of extra responsibility in living off campus and having my own car while going to school full time and working part time! For my fifth and sixth semesters at Baylor, I created a checklist of places I want to eat, activities to enjoy with friends, books to read, and road trips I want to take.

  • Roadtrip to Disneyland
  • Work at a football game at the Cowboys stadium
  • Go to a haunted house
  • Watch Baylor football win the Big 12 (dreaming big here)
  • Eat all of the foods at Six Flags
  • Volunteer for Meals on Wheels
  • Write more about sports for athletics
  • Read all of Langston Hughes’ poetry
  • Spend thanksgiving with friends
  • Convert all KFC lovers to Popeye’s
  • Find a waterfall in the south
  • Go on a spaghetti taste hunt and find the best tasting one in the nation
  • Take hundreds of outfit photos
  • Vlog at least three seconds every day
  • Go to concerts in different cities
  • Visit Brandon and Parker in NYC for easter
  • Watch Baylor basketball win the Big 12 (not dreaming big here)
  • Write enough poetry to fill a small book
  • Foster a dog or cat
  • Finish The New Jim Crow
