I haven’t shopped at J.Crew since my summer splurge on their sale items, (ft. but not limited to this paisley top and this gingham dress) but their design team is killing the game this season. I quickly browsed their new arrivals section and found a handful of pieces I would like to add to my wardrobe for the cooler months. Fall is one of my favorite ‘fashion seasons’ as jeans are acceptable during the daytime and all things velvet, navy, and sequins are widely welcomed. I love the Leopard Sweatshirt as an every day throw on layering item. I would pair it with true blue jeans and a pair of sparkly heels to dress up the outfit. The 9” High Rise Toothpick Jean in Lassiter Wash is my denim pick for the season because it’s the perfect mix of classic edge. The rips and worn out bits are positioned flatteringly on the legs and I would tuck a silk blouse into the waistband. The eyelet Daisyland Pant is another beautiful bottom choice for the fall and dressier occasions. I would style them with a red blouse and nude flats for a Thanksgiving lunch or dinner. Long sleeve blouses are perfect for the fall and winter time and the Ruffle-Neck Silk Top has an adorable lip print! I would tuck the top into a high waisted skirt and throw on black tights if the weather was chilly out. The Denim Shift Dress is a classic layering staple and I would style it the same way it is on the model- over a thin turtleneck and with sneakers or chunky heels. I’m a huge fan of ruffled anything and the Drapey Wrap-Front Top is a fresh take on the classic tank top. The cross front and ruffled edges make the top extra dressy and perfect for the holiday season. It would look amazing with oversized gold hoops and blue jeans. For those who don’t like dresses but still want to dress up, jumpsuits and rompers are your heroes. The Tie-Back Jumpsuit has stars printed all over and hits at the ankle, which would flatter most buyers. I would pair it with embellished heels and a classic red lip. The Velvet Tank Top is my favorite of the bunch and the one I immediately added to my cart. I love how the almost salmon-colored shade is an usual look for the fall. With gold accessories, jeans, and a blazer, this tank would go to work. These Strappy Polka-Dot Flats are an adorable fall item that would go nicely with either a party dress or a white tee and jeans. They’re an updated version of the normal ballet flat and I could use them in my closet full of sneakers!
