Of course we love watching the Baylor Men’s and Women’s Basketball seasons (especially when they’re actually playing as two of the top 10 teams in the nation and not on an indefinite hiatus thanks to COVID), but there’s no sport I value quite as much as football or specifically the Baylor Football team. Everyone who knows me or who’s read this blog before knows how invested I am in football with my favorite versions of the game being high school and college with the college season easily taking my top spot. Because the 2020 football season was like the perfect storm combination of the first COVID outbreaks, a brand new coaching staff, and fairly frustrated athletes (here’s my recap of the last game of the season where Oklahoma State utterly trounced the Bears), I’m sure most fans of the Bears are looking forward to a fresh start in the 2021 Baylor Football season. Thankfully, Baylor Athletics just recently released the 2021 Baylor Football schedule, which is sure to excite anyone who loves watching incredible athletes in their green and hold uniforms take the field against many worthy Big 12 opponents (to be clear though, every other Big 12 team is a piece of shit and especially UT and Oklahoma!). The best part of these odd years’ schedules is that Baylor will be hosting seven home games only for the second time ever! The Bears usually do six and six home and away, but the 2021 Baylor Football team will face arguably their most difficult enemies on their own green and gold turf. I included the schedule graphic above with courtesy of Baylor Athletics as all of the games are listed along with their respective playing locations. As you can tell, Baylor will host games against Texas Southern, Iowa State, West Virginia, BYU (new offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes’ old stomping grounds), Texas, Oklahoma, and Texas Tech to close out the regular season! Following the regular conclusion of the 2021 Baylor Football season, if the Bears make it this far, they’ll challenge the other top conference finisher in the Big 12 Championship Game, which will take place on Saturday, December 4, 2021 in AT&T Stadium. Here’s to more football in the new year!
