Testing Out Tatcha The Deep Cleanse

Tatcha The Deep Cleanse

I haven’t experimented with new skincare products in well over a year, but after recently testing out a few unique samples at Sephora, I took the plunge and purchased a fresh cleanser (I’ve used The Body Shop Vitamin E Gentle Face Wash since 2015!). Tatcha is a skincare brand that’s been on my radar for quite some time now due to its luxurious products and Japanese roots. Despite my interest, I never spent much time at its Sephora stand until I picked up The Deep Cleanse sample with my Beauty Insider points and fell in love with the magic inside the tube. The Deep Cleanse is an exfoliating cleanser that’s formulated primarily for normal to oily skin types and is gentle enough to use everyday. I wanted to try the cleanser because I felt like my skin wasn’t getting clean enough after using the Vitamin E face wash I previously mentioned, and wanted a product that provided a deeper and more thorough cleanse. I loved how The Deep Cleanse doesn’t have micro beads or other non-biodegradable exfoliants, but instead relies on ground fibers from the Japanese luffa fruit to gently scrub away dead skin and clear dirt and oil from my pores. When I’m ready to wash my face, I squeeze a dime-sized amount of The Deep Cleanse into my hands and rub it in circles around my damp skin. The cleanser turns from a textured gel into an emulsified cream/foam with the luffa particles embedded within the product. After using the cleanser for the past few weeks, I’ve already noticed that my pores look less clogged and my skin feels incredibly clean and smooth. I know at this point it’s too early to determine how my face will ultimately react to the product itself, but for now, I’m extraordinarily satisfied with The Deep Cleanse! Now it’s time to stock my online cart with more Tatcha products…
