My dad taught me how to play the guitar. I was in the seventh grade when I told him at dinner that I wanted to learn how to play a song. As soon as we got home, he picked up this guitar and taught me the basic chords G, C, Em, and D to play the song and we discussed how almost every piece is made up of those four. I was hooked from that night on and taught myself how to play any and every other song that I wanted to learn. This guitar was given to my dad years ago and he passed it down to me. This is probably my most treasured instrument and I can’t imagine what my life was like without the guitar in my hands, my fingers plucking away at the strings.
