Rediscovering An Old Favorite

Foundation is the one makeup product that I can’t get enough of! I’m always on the lookout for the perfect medium-buildable formula with a smooth texture and all day lasting power on my oily skin (haven’t found the holy grail one just yet). I’ve been using the Laura Mercier Silk Creme foundation religiously for the past few months but I wanted something a bit lighter on the skin. My NARS Sheer Glow foundation in the shade Punjab is a great everyday option for great coverage without any of the heaviness. It lasts a good 5 hours on my skin before I need a touch up and it covers any spots or hyperpigmentation, limiting the need for concealer (although I just bought an absolutely amazing concealer, which is Lisa Eldridge approved; review coming soon). Even though it’s called ‘sheer glow’, it’s not sheer at all. The shade range is really good and the texture is creamy and blends well. This foundation earns two (more) thumbs up and I won’t be putting in down anytime soon. Oh Sheer Glow, why did I ever forget about you?
