Poems in September

This month’s poems are political and compassionate and focused on the affairs of America and the world. Where women, minorities, and the disabled could lose adequate health care in a shameful congressional act, where police brutality continues without punishment, where racism and violence collide, where islands collapse under water. These poets examine historical events and the realities of humans around the world through their art. We’re lucky to have their words in such a time as this.
