Poems in November

It seems the news in the media cycle is getting worse over time, so once again, I’m finding solace in the poetry I read. I’ve recently cocooned myself in an oversized fuzzy blanket every night, brainstorming ideas for my newest pieces while reading the ones mentioned for comfort. These poems illustrate my anxiety and frustration during an overly violent two week period. When a mass shooting or case of police brutality grabs my attention, I never know how to react calmly, so I find these pieces do so well. I hope they bring you peace.
