Poems in May

While politics have made life seem extraordinarily hopeless since the orange demon took office in 2016, current events as of late have been even more dismal than usual: Palestinian genocide, corrupt world leaders, overwhelming poverty, racist white people using cops as their personal firing squad, and basically every powerful male assaulting the women around them. I’ve suffered unnecessary bouts of anxiety while reading the news and poetry seems to be my only healer. These pieces speak life while the world is covered in darkness and I hope they bring peace to you as well.
