My favorite football player of all time, Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes has made a name for himself in NFL preseason. Although the rookie is not the Chief’s starting QB, Mahomes has racked up better stats than Alex Smith and KC’s other backups. With a cumulative 65.8% completion rate, Mahomes is showing off the skills he had at Texas Tech in a pass-happy conference. In the time he’s spent under center with the Chiefs, Mahomes completed 25 of 38 attempts for 207 yards with three TDs. In comparison, Smith completed 19 of 32 attempts for 175 yards and one TD. Mahomes has also carried the ball five times for 31 yards. If he continues passing with efficiency, Mahomes could become the Chiefs’ new starting QB come regular season!
