After two years of not traveling (just like everyone else), I’m going on my second trip in two months! And no, unfortunately this time I’m not going back to Texas to see my BFFs (see what I packed for that trip in this post), but instead I’m venturing closer to home. I’ve spent hardly any time in the Pacific Northwest so it will be an exciting change to go to Washington for only the second time ever! I’m thrilled to not only spend time with some of my favorite people (and be away from work for a period of time of course) but also to experience an unfamiliar place full of delicious looking foods! The weather in Seattle will be quite different from home and even Texas in the late spring, so I had to carefully strategize what I’d bring to Washington. From what the weather looks like now, I might see 30-60 degree days, which call for layers, tights, and some of my favorite coats I haven’t worn since my 2018 November meal trip to New York with Brandon and Parker (we had the grandest time and I wore the cutest of clothes!). Some of the pieces I took then are coming with me to Washington where the air will be extremely chilly and we might see some wind and/or rain! I of course am bringing a few pairs of jeans because your girl needs options. I’m taking my Abercrombie 90s Ultra High Rise Straights, Levi’s Ribcage Straight Ankle, and Levi’s High Rise Slim Straights. Each pair is a different wash, so they’ll add versatility to my small collection of items I’m bringing. To pair with the jeans, I’m taking my favorite pink J.Crew sweater, English Factory embroidered cream sweater, navy Brandy Melville sweater, bright yellow turtleneck, and cropped beige long sleeve top from Zara. The sweaters can be worn on their own, over the two tops I’m taking, or layered on top of my cornflower blue turtleneck dress, long sleeve white eyelet dress, and new favorite green Abercrombie babydoll (I’m having a weird moment with Abercrombie right now!). In case it gets really cold, I have my black leather jacket and long navy coat for added warmth. I’m not trying to overdo it in the shoe department so I have my black leather booties, yellow Mary Janes, and pink ballet flats. I’ll throw in my patchwork Kate Spade scarf, camel cashmere scarf from J.Crew, and a pink beret. I hope to show you all my many styled outfits post-trip!
