October Favorites!

I can’t believe how quickly October came and went! There are only 2 more months until Christmas and my birthday! Winter truly is my favorite time of the year and I anxiously await its arrival each fall! I had quite a lovely month full of new beauty discoveries along with rediscovering some old favorites as well. Let’s hop into it!

Bobbi Brown Rich Chocolate Eye Palette

This palette has got to be the best $52 I’ve ever spent! Although I have a full review here, I would still like to applaud Bobbi in her amazing job with the Rich Chocolate collection. The formulation of the shadows is incredible. They glide on like a dream and are buttery soft. Even though I use every single shade in the palette, my favorites are the glitter shade (in the middle) and the medium brown (second from the right). This palette is the only thing I need to create gorgeous smokey eyes for everyday! I highly highly highly recommend it!

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation

An old favorite of mine, this foundation found its way back into my daily makeup bag this month! Its extremely lightweight texture and natural finish is lovely especially in the warmer weather that we’ve had recently here in Hawaii. I’ve been loving mixing VA with my Laura Mercier Silk Creme for a flawless, long lasting base.

Rimmel Stay Matte powder

I’ve had a long lasting love-hate relationship with this powder, but I must say that it’s been good to me this month! Although it doesn’t make my foundation last all day, it does help it to last a good 5-6 hours without touch ups!

Real Techniques Domed Shadow brush

Even though this is an eye shadow brush, it works like a dream at applying concealer! When I have the occasional spot or redness that my foundation didn’t cover, I know that this will apply my concealer flawlessly! All of Sam’s brushes are synthetic, so they’re easy to clean and apply product beautifully!

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze

A new discovery of mine, this cream shadow helps my smokey eyes to last up to 16 hours without creasing! The color is beautiful and looks lovely just on its own as well. The texture is very thin, yet extremely blendable. I will definitely be picking up more of these Color Tattoos!

Chanel Joues Contraste in Rose Petale

This peachy-pink shade is absolutely gorgeous for fall! The slight golden shimmer running throughout adds a beautiful highlight to the top of my cheekbones. It definitely has a hefty pricetag at $43, but it’s worth it! The shade selection and the smooth formulation of the Chanel blushers are unbeatable.

Guerlain Meteorites Perles in Teint Rose 1

This powder highlight is the most gorgeous highlighter I’ve ever seen in my life! It’s also my biggest splurge item in my makeup bag at a whopping $58! The colors mixed together create a glowing finish to add to foundation. Its fragrance is absolutely beautiful and is pleasent to the nose as it is applied.

Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick in Rose Blush

Despite the bright red color in the picture above, the actual lipstick is a gorgeous rose color. I bought this shade whilst searching through Target for a natural lip color, as I found that the ones I have are all red! It has a beautiful shimmer to it, which creates a soft sheen to the lips. The lipstick is extremely moisturizing, so it feels like a lip balm gliding on. On the other hand, the moisturizing finish also means that the lipstick doesn’t last very long. Although the staying power isn’t amazing, the shade selection and texture of the lipsticks are, so I give this lipstick two thumbs up!

Chloe Eau de Parfum

This beautiful, chic perfume has been my signature scent for the past year. The smell reminds me of my trip to Washington DC, so wearing it is very reminiscent for me! The bottle is absolutely fabulous, with the blush pink ribbon on top!
