After getting my ears pierced in December, I’ve been looking to add new earrings to my mini collection. I scoured Etsy and local jewelry makers on instagram and stumbled upon Kai Ea Hawaii. Designer Kimberly crafts specialty island earrings in all sizes and metals. I was fond of the gold Oʻahu earrings in a smaller size (just a little larger than a quarter) as to not overwhelm my frame. I love these earrings because I’m able to wear my heart on my…ears? Although most mainlanders don’t know what they are upon first glance, I’m sure any Hawaiʻi kid would love them. I like to style them with my naturally curly hair or with a tita bun for an extra local aunty effect.
