November Favorites

I’m taking it down a notch this month and decided to write out my favorites instead of filming it. I’ve been extremely sick this past week and filming was not on my agenda of things to do as of late. This month flew by as I was incredibly busy with a trip to my future alma mater, band tournaments, homework, catching up on missed tests and projects, learning how to play the Oboe, and trying to get some rest. Despite all of the assignments and items on my To Do list, November was arguably my favorite month of the year so far. I have a few beauty and skincare products to share this month (not too many) and though there aren’t a lot, the ones I do have really impressed me. Let’s get into it!

Starting off with skin, the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads are undoubtedly my favorite chemical toner/exfoliator that I’ve ever used. I’ve used the pads everyday for the past two months and my skin has never seen a more clear, even day. The pads are lightly soaked in the alcohol-free solution and when wiped across the face after cleansing, leave the skin squeaky clean and rejuvenated. They don’t aggravate sensitive skin and are safe to use on a daily basis. I love this product and I really need to pick up a new tub!

I’ve really enjoyed using the Smashbox Photo Finish Light Primer for the past few weeks because of its thin, light texture and satin finish. The primer is incredibly light and doesn’t leave my skin feeling heavy or clogged after application. It is quite expensive so I picked up the travel size for $15, which I still think is a lot to fork over for a primer, but I have been quite impressed after using it for a while. Although it’s not my absolute holy grail primer, I really enjoy using this one on a day to day basis to make my foundation last a bit longer!

Speaking of foundation, a holy grail product has been rediscovered in the form of the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Punjab. I used this foundation in the beginning of my blogging journey for around a year and tossed it on the side after discovering other base favorites. However, upon re-application of this product recently, it makes me wonder why I ever put this one down! This is the perfect medium-buildable foundation that covers imperfections while looking natural and lasting a long time on the skin. When paired with my absolute favorite NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard, my skin looks flawless and impeccable.

Last but not least is a drugstore lippy called the Revlon Lip Butter in Red Velvet. This is the perfect fall/winter lip shade that’s not only pigmented but also incredibly moisturizing. It feels lightweight like a balm but has the color of a lipstick or stain that lasts well and doesn’t go patchy. I’ve loved the brand’s lip butters for a long time but I hadn’t tried this berry-red shade until recently. This is definitely my favorite holiday shade!
