Last Friday night, my parents and I got dressed up and went out to Vino Italian Tapas & Wine Bar for a nice dinner. Vino is located on Restaurant Row in downtown and it’s an intimate restaurant and bar with the most divine Italian-esque food. For appetizers we ordered a Caesar salad and a broccolini and sweet pepper pizza. The menu was a nice spread of pastas, meat, and fish dishes with an Italian inspiration. I ordered the Osso Bucco over mashed potatoes, tomatoes, mushrooms, and a red wine reduction. Mom got the New York steak on top of mashed potatoes with a red wine demi glace and broccolini and Dad chose the Dungeness Crab linguini. All of our dishes were absolutely heavenly and were the perfect portions. We couldn’t leave the restaurant without ordering dessert, so we chose the warm Apple tart a la mode. The croissant-like crust was soft and crispy while the apples were thinly sliced and soaked up all of the caramel and vanilla bean ice cream. The dinner was fabulous and we had a wonderful time!
