I used to be a ‘beauty blogger’, documenting my favorite makeup products and ‘faces of the day’. Back in 2014, smol me plucked her eyebrows way too much and praised mascaras that made zero difference to my lashes. Luckily, I found my beauty style along the way and have perfected an everyday routine that I love. Although this look looks exactly the same as every other one I’ve posted over the past two years, I included a couple new products for my fresh spring look.
As usual, I start off with the Makeup Forever Step 1 Skin Equalizer to mattify my skin before applying more products. The Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer in Ochre is my favorite base of all time. I’ve used the tint everyday for three years and it’s still my holy grail in terms of coverage, longevity and natural appearance. To cover my spots and under eye circles, I reach for another long-term favorite: the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard. This concealer lasts all day and packs a punch as it glides over any blemishes or discoloration. After buffing over my concealer, I pat my foundation brush back over my face, distributing a bit of base to blend concealer and foundation together. I set my face with the Bare Minerals Mineral Veil, which locks in the previous products and keeps me shine free for a good 5+ hours. After finishing my base, I fill in my brows with a new favorite- Revlon Colorstay Brow Pencil in Dark Brunette. I’ve alternated between the Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil and Anastasia Brow Wiz over the past few years, but this under $7 product is a winner. The shade matches my hair perfectly and its waxy pigment fills in my sparse spots in under 30 seconds. I also love how the pencil has a spoolie on the other end to even out the color! I go to town on my cheeks and temples with The Body Shop Honey Bronzer in 03, which adds color and dimension to my face. My favorite Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Exposed is up next for a hint of pink on the apples. After applying my NARS Pro-Prime Eyeshadow Primer to my lids, I dust a layer of bronzer on top for a base shadow. I always add the dark gray shade from the Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics Palette to my outer corners for an easy smokey look and line my upper waterlines with the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion. I’ve recently started using the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara and I love it, but it flakes off at the end of the day. Despite the unfortunate black pieces under my eyes, I enjoy how plump and thick my lashes look after a couple coats. I finish the look with the Revlon Kiss Balm in Sweet Cherry for a pop of moisturizing pink!
