As finals have taken over my life, the only stress reliever I have is purchasing overpriced, beautiful pieces from my favorite online shops. My lack of self-control will reveal itself in my May monthly statement (sorry mom!!), but my closet will look great! I saw Acacia’s ‘Mahalo’ print in a summer preview a few months ago and I fell in love with it. Acacia is extremely expensive and I’ve never been able to afford it in the past (who am I kidding…I still can’t afford it haha), but a generous tax return helped me get my hands on my first suit from the brand. I have one other luxury kini from Posh Pua, which has held up well and is my favorite of my collection. After spending the extra arm and leg for the Posh Pua suit and seeing its durability compared to my cheaper ones, I fully converted to luxury swimwear. I know every Hawaiʻi girl will have her own Mahalo suit this summer, but I love the Teahupoʻo Full Suit so much I don’t care if I’m matching with everyone at Yoks. I found the J.Crew Ruffled Short during my weekly site exploration and damn! Look how cute they are! I picked up the pastel pink pair (obviously) and although I don’t know if it will fit me, I wanted them anyway. I’m not a shorts person but I love how these can be dressed up or down depending on my mood. I would style them with a white graphic tee and colorful sneakers for a casual look or with a silk cami, black tights, and strappy sandals on a fancier occasion. Speaking of sneakers, I saw these newest Kate Spade x Keds ones in The Woodlands yesterday and rushed to order them when I saw their 15% coupon code! They would look adorable with a true blue denim dress and sparkly pink sunglasses in the summer. Another print favorite is the J.Crew Tie-Shoulder Peplum Top in Seaside Floral. I know I need to find another way to phrase “I love…” but I just love the painted design and gorgeous colors! I instantly imagined the top with white jeans and my yellow wool sneakers with a denim jacket in San Francisco. For under $70, the blouse is a summer score and I can’t wait to wear it a million different ways! Okay my bank account is about to implode and I might be bankrupt after these purchases but at least they made me happy!
