Pink glitter manicures seem to be my MO when it comes to professional polishes, so of course I went for a pastel pink gel manicure with a gold glitter overlay for my graduation look! I didn’t pick a dip manicure because the removal process for dip is too harsh on my nail beds, even though the color lasts for around a month. I went to my favorite Elegant Nail Spa (obviously) for the last time and had my gel manicure finished within 35 minutes! The salon staff is my favorite because they’re always so kind and friendly and I’m thankful that Lo introduced me to them last year! I haven’t had a manicure since January, so my nails and cuticles were in dire need of some TLC. My nail technician thoroughly cleaned up all of the surrounding areas around my nails and filed them down until they were an even shape and length. After applying all of the cuticle oils and lotions, he applied two thin coats of OPI Nail Polish in Lima Tell You About This Color!— a beautiful light pink shade, and topped it off with two more layers of the OPI Glitter in Gold Key to the Kingdom, which is a classic gold glitter with specks of copper and bronze throughout. Besides the fact that I love combining pink and glitter in everyday life, I thought the gel manicure would perfectly match my Gal Meets Glam pink fit and flare graduation dress and my favorite J.Crew bow heels. The finished graduation look will be extremely Elle Woods-esque, if Elle were a brownish native girl graduating from undergrad rather than a blonde Harvard law student. I’m opting for a glittery pink smokey eye from my favorite Anastasia Beverly Hills palette as well! Who said there’s ever a thing as too much pink?
