My Current Skincare Routine

I’ve blogged about my favorite makeup products for years, but haven’t invested as much in writing about my everyday skincare routine. A thorough and targeted routine applied consistently truly is the key to healthy skin. I’ve struggled with acne, redness, and oiliness since I was in the bowels of early puberty aka fifth grade, so I’m no stranger to cleansers, moisturizers, and the like. I’ve been using these products diligently for the past few months and the combination has made my skin glowy, smooth, and free of acne (aside from the odd spot here and there). The first step in my routine is removing my makeup with the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. I soak a few exfoliating pads in the solution and erase the layers of product on my skin. The Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser is my favorite textured face wash I’ve used in years! It truly feels like a slippery jelly on the skin and it doesn’t strip my face of any extra oil. The Pixi Glow Tonic To-Go is a jar of pre-soaked pads in the famous glycolic acid, which brightens and gently exfoliates. These pads not only remove every last trace of makeup but also help combat extra breakouts that pop up. I add a few sprays of Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs, and Rosewater as a final refresher post-cleanse. It’s a gimmicky product, but I love how it feels on a clean face. I’m a huge fan of the Glossier Super Pure Serum as it’s completely cleared my skin of acne and reduces my redness. Two drops on my face is all it takes to mattify the skin and tone down any extra pigmentation. I finish up with my beloved Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel, which adds hydration without greasiness. The only products I’m missing in my routine are a good eye cream and lightweight sunscreen. Do you have any recommendations that I could add?
