Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in 102 Light Nude
I have been wanting to try this foundation for around a year and even though it’s incredibly cheap, I would always put it off. I purchased this at Target for $5.00. Yes, the price is amazing, but may I just say that the foundation is even more incredible! There is a pretty good color range for this foundation. Although it’s considered a “drugstore foundation”, the packaging and the quality of the product is very high I would actually say that this is a good dupe for the NARS Sheer Glow foundation, which you all know is my Holy Grail foundation. The coverage is medium buildable and it feels lightweight on my skin. Overall, I love this foundation for everyday wear and I highly recommend it!
Revlon Colorstay Concealer in 03 Light Medium
Revlon’s Colorstay line has been quite the talk of the town in previous months. Their Colorstay foundation was a huge hit all over the world. I personally haven’t tried the foundation, but when I went to Target I decided to pick up this concealer as I have been eager to try out a liquid drugstore cover up. I think the coverage is very nice and it never feels or looks streaky. I really like this concealer and I think it’s much better than my Maybelline Stick Concealer. It blends easily and it covers blemishes and spots like a gem.
Revlon Lip Butter in 063 Wild Watermelon
I have tried many of the Revlon Lip Butters, but I’ve never truly been impressed by them. I liked the Cherry Tart lip butter but I wouldn’t say it was my favorite lip balm I’ve tried. This one however, is amazing! The color payoff is very high quality and it’s so smooth on my lips. As you may have noticed, I love to wear red on my lips and this lip butter would have to be one of my favorite reds of all time. I really like how it doesn’t have a lot of sparkle in it like the other lip butters do. It’s more of a sheen when I glide it on my lips, which is really nice.
Clinique Chubby Stick in Mightiest Maraschino
I have been completely obsessed with Clinique’s Chubby Sticks so when I realized I didn’t have a red color, I just had to go get one. This one goes on incredibly smoothly and the red is so vibrant. I like to wear this red especially with just mascara, as to not overpower the color of the Chubby Stick. This is my go to red for everyday wear and I just love it so much!
Covergirl Jumbo Gloss Balm in 210
Is it fair to include two “Chubby Stick-like products” in my March Favorites? Oh well, I’m going to do it anyway! While looking through my lip collection, I noticed that pretty much all of my lip colors are red. Go figure. I had heard good things about this Covergirl line so I decided to try out a non-red lip balm. I really love the blush color of this lip balm. It’s really easy to wear on days where I want to try out a smokey eye or a brighter blush. I think these lip balms are really worth the money and I probably will try out more colors!
Stila In The Light Palette
I feel like I should have already done a post on this palette, I just love it so much! I bought this palette after searching high and low all over Sephora for a good neutral eyeshadow palette. The colors in the palette are gorgeous and highly pigmented. It’s simply a really good eyeshadow palette for everyday wear! I love putting on the light brown color in the middle (Bliss) all over my lid and then packing on the dark brown (Sandstone) all in my crease. This is sold at Sephora for $45 which may sound a little pricey, but it’s so worth the money.
Skincare
Dior Diorsnow UV Shield SPF 50
We all should be wearing SPF daily, so investing in a good everyday sunscreen is a good thing for a girl’s to do list! I love this Diorsnow one because it has no color and no scent, which is lovely. I put this on after my moisturizer and before my foundation for a good daily protection!
Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 15
I used to use this moisturizer every day for months, and then I just stopped using it and traded it in for a Benefit moisturizer. When I started using this one again, I remembered why I like it so much! I love the lightweight feel to it, but I also love how my skin feels so soft and smooth and just overall looks better after using this! It makes my foundation glide on easier and stay put all day long!
Music
It Is Well With My Soul by Daniel Martin Moore
Daniel’s voice is so smooth and lovely, and his version of “It Is Well With My Soul” really touches my heart. I’ve been listening to his music when I’m reading or painting my nails for a soothing environment.
The Shins
I remember my older sister Megan used to listen to the Shins a lot when we were younger, but I never thought of listening to them until their music came on my Pandora station. I love their whole “Oh, Inverted World” album and I’ve been listening to it almost everyday. My favorite songs of theirs are “Girl Inform Me” and “New Slang”. I would definitely recommend to check them out for a sort of Indie Rock type of music!
Movie
RENT
RENT has been one of my favorite musicals for around 8 years. I just love the story of friendship in the movie and the music is incredible. It’s a truly heartbreaking and touching story of love, friendship, and AIDS in New York City. Although it’s not suitable for younger kids, I still loved it when I would watch it with my cousins. This movie is amazing and I highly recommend buying it!
People
Mike Donehey
I love Tenth Avenue North, so seeing them in concert and then meeting them after was an incredible experience for me. I especially love Mike because he is so cute and his passion for music and touching lives in really inspiring to me. Read my whole post on the band and their concert here.
Adam Levine
Adam Levine is such a gorgeous guy and an even better person! Watching him on the Voice as a coach has made me love who he is. Although I don’t really like his music, I like his character and the person that he is.
App
After buying my iPhone, I went absolutely Instagram crazy. I love how the app allows you to take pictures of your day to day life and add really nice filters to them. It’s a free app, which is lovely! If you’re not following me on Instagram, you can follow me at @nkakimoto!
