Yale PG Makai Mason announced his transfer to Baylor for the 2018-2019 season, where he will spend his final year of eligibility as a grad transfer. I hated this guy when Baylor faced Yale in the first round of the 2016 NCAA tournament as the Ivy defeated my Bears, 79-75. Mason scored a career-high 31 points, prompting my intense hatred (I just love my teams a lot okay?) and foul mouth. Mason made the all-Ivy team in 2015 with an average of 16 points and 3.8 assists. After injuring his foot at the beginning of last season, Mason decided to transfer due to the Ivy League rule where players have only four years to play four seasons. Due to his redshirt, Mason will have two more years, one of which will be at Yale and the final at Baylor. As the Bears will lose starting PG Manu Lecomte in 2018, Mason will be a great addition to the lineup. For now…he’s still on my kind of hate list.
