Jacob in Waco Day Two

On Jacob’s second day in Waco, we were lazy homebodies and spent most of the day sleeping and watching movies at my apartment. When we finally decided to drag ourselves out of the house for a breakfast/lunch/dinner combination, we went to Baris for Italian food. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs (obviously) and he got the sampler, which included lasagna, manicotti and another type of rolled pasta. We also ate all of the large breads that they provided as an appetizer. I wanted to show him around downtown so we parked near the Suspension Bridge and walked along it to watch the sunset. We saw a nearby park and played on the swings for a while before walking back to the car. Instead of waiting till Wednesday to shop for Thanksgiving foods, we went to HEB that night and bought all of the ingredients for mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and candied yams along with ice cream, crescent rolls, pumpkin pie and a chicken. We both were hungry again at that point so we made it through the Chick-fil-A drive thru right before it closed! Jacob had his first chicken sandwich and he loved it and I of course felt like I was going home when I entered the parking lot. Look for our San Antonio adventures tomorrow!
