I’m Now Contributing to Our Daily Bears!

My first Our Daily Bears article

Although I gladly boast about how I love staying home and doing nothing all day long, I’m somehow busier now than I’ve been since college! Over the past year I’ve worked full-time as the island-wide Community Outreach Court Coordinator, part-time as a Communications Consultant for HawaiĘ»i Peace and Justice, and I freelanced during the fall for the Honolulu Star-Advertiser covering high school football (you can read a long ass recap of my year here!). Outside of the many work obligations I actually get paid for, I’m of course blogging every day, making TikToks, and now contributing to Our Daily Bears starting with the Baylor Tennis seasons! Our Daily Bears is the official SBNation blog for Baylor Athletics that’s one of, if not the most read fan sites by Baylor fans. I’ve been reading and following the blog for the past several years since I really got into sports and Twitter. I’ve always appreciated the content put out, especially during football season where I learned more about new recruits, team updates, etc. I mentioned numerous times on This Is Noelle about how Matt, one of my newer Twitter friends, shared my TikToks about Baylor Football and helped me gain a larger following. Matt was recently appointed as the new Managing Editor of Our Daily Bears and he encouraged me to become part of the team as a contributor! One of the best parts of now contributing under Matt’s leadership is that ODB is putting out stories about (almost) all of the Baylor sports instead of just Football and Men’s Basketball like before. This season I’m writing about Men’s and Women’s Tennis, which I’m extremely familiar with since I worked as the student contact for WT in college and my family has close friendships with head coach Joey Scrivano. The other contributors I’ve engaged with are so kind, welcoming, and encouraging in everything I do and I can’t wait to continue writing and covering sports as much as possible moving forward! Have a look at my first ODB article about the basics of tennis for those unfamiliar with the sport!
