I’ve been experimenting with and using skincare products for the last decade (search “skincare” or “moisturizer” on This Is Noelle and you’ll see a plethora posts on those items ie this devastatingly old post!) with most of my skin routine focused on trying to clear my stubborn acne I still struggle with. I can’t tell you how many dollars I’ve spent on different cleansers, toners, serums, and moisturizers, which all probably got me to my several years of Sephora VIB status. I basically stopped spending on new to me items when I found a routine that truly fit me and my skincare goals aside from the odd affordable cleanser I now love and I’m still using that regime today. Every evening I wash my face with the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser for Combination-Oily Skin, tone with the Pixi Glow Tonic To-Go pads, and drip a couple of Glossier Super Pure, but despite my blemishes still being a slight issue, I’m now heavily focusing on anti-aging. I noticed two fine lines on my forehead several months ago and spiraled into a panic of not wanting to look like Gordon Ramsay when I’m 30 (can you blame me? I still love watching his shows). I knew I should’ve made way for anti-aging products in my routine a long time ago, so I stocked my medicine cabinet with eye cream, retinol serum, sunscreen, and this Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Lotion thanks to the recommendation of my best friend and skincare guru Brandon. Retinol and sunscreen go hand in hand and combined with eye cream, make for an anti-aging trifecta. I love the products I’m using (CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum and ROC Retinol Correxion Line Smoothing Eye Cream), but Illiyoon takes the cake for being my current biggest skin love. The lotion is meant for the body, but it has the lightest and creamiest texture that feels like jelly over my face. I apply a hefty pump of the moisturizer over my face, neck, and chest every night and when I wake up in the morning, my skin is lusciously plump and smooth. I haven’t noticed any lines worsening on my forehead or seen new demons popping up and I credit that to Illiyoon and my religiously-applied retinol serum! If one day I do resemble Ramsay, please do not let me know.
