Green Florals and Whites for Spring

Green florals and whites

LOFT top, J.Crew jeans, Kate Spade bag (old), Cole Haan shoes

Although HawaiĘ»i is on a mandatory work from home order, all essential employees including my coworkers and I are still rotating in and out of the office every day. I love having two or three days off each week and while the ideal scenario would be working from home for the entire quarantine period, I’m thankful for my job and I know the work we’re doing is absolutely essential to get as many people as possible out of the death cages we call jails and prisons. Because most of the people in my office are working at home, our dress code has simmered down to a t-shirts and jeans acceptable environment, to which I’ve gladly adhered. However, today I wanted to wear a spring and office appropriate outfit featuring my favorite green florals and whites. I always reach for prints and bright colors during the spring (my favorite fashion season along with autumn!), but these green florals are a new pick for me. I recently bought the peplum top from LOFT on a shopping whim and I thought it would pair perfectly with my favorite stretchy black jeans (not uncomfortable for all day work) and white Cole Haan mules I purchased after obsessively wearing my pink pair with every single outfit (an ode to them here). I’m trying to incorporate as much color into my wardrobe as possible because I keep wearing the same blush pink and navy blue palette, so this top with green florals is the perfect antidote to my fashion slump. I bought three dresses and another top to complete my LOFT haul and also snagged an adorable pink (what did I just say about moving away from this color?) dress from Zara arriving soon! Stay tuned for more fashion posts on the way!
