Because the summer days are heating up and my makeup has started to feel a bit heavy, I wanted to tone everything down a bit and go back to basics. I used 7 products on my face the other day which might seem like a lot for a hot summer day, but the whole look is very light and perfect for the daytime. I started with a thin layer of the L’Oreal True Match Foundation in W3 and topped up any blemishes with the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard. I didn’t add any powder to keep the look from getting thick and cakey. I of course used my favorite Anastasia Brow Wiz in Granite to fill in the sparse bits and then applied 2 coats of my Bare Minerals Flawless Definition Mascara in Black. On the cheeks I used a combination of my Chanel Joues Contraste in Rose Petale and the Body Shop Honey Bronzer in Medium Matte to add a subtle glow to the face. Lastly, I applied my new favorite sheer lipstick: The Body Shop Colour Crush Shine Lipstick in 18. The lightweight feel of the look combined with the glowing skin and lips makes this “face” a winner for the summer time!
