Four years, three blog designs, two states and one ultimate niche later, and here we have This Is Noelle’s anniversary. I was barely 16 when I decided to start this blog in 2012. Over the past four years, I’ve written 1,201 posts, traveled to Australia, performed for President Obama in his inaugural parade, taught myself how to play the Oboe, found a passion for sports, graduated high school, began college in Texas and started working in Baylor’s athletic department. I’ve stayed up way later than necessary to produce daily posts and haven’t regretted a single moment. I’ve purchased too many beauty products, spent hours writing football recaps, studied coaches and players, forced my sister to take outfit pictures and have shared more of my life than I probably should have, but I wouldn’t change one moment of it. This blog, although not world-changing or famous in any way, has become my greatest achievement. I’ve made connections with people through the football recaps I write, gotten jobs because of my writing experience, perfected my writing and learned more about myself than I ever have in standardized education. As I’ve said before, daily blogging while working two jobs and going to school full time is extremely difficult, but I wouldn’t trade the experience for the world. Thank you so much to those of you who’ve stuck around for the past four years and I hope you’ll be there for the next four+. Here’s to 2017 and thousands of more future posts!
