Throughout my whole toddler/adolescent life, I remember listening to my mom’s favorite music from the 70s and 80s. From Jefferson Starship to Boston, my sister and I were exposed to every classic rock group in the book. Out of all the bands and artists of the past, Elton John was always one of mom’s favorites.
I was lucky enough to attend the Elton John concert at Blaisdell with mom and hear one of the greatest musicians perform live. Elton has a fantastic voice and sings songs that are both heartbreaking and joyful. It was lovely getting to hear my favorites: Tiny Dancer, Your Song, Saturday Night’s All Right for Fighting, Levon, Rocket Man, and Crocodile Rock. Ninth row seats plus a two and a half hour concert session with my mom is no-doubt one of the best ways to spend a Saturday night.
