Easy Fall Makeup + Baylor Football at Midseason

I’m slowly attempting to incorporate seasonally-appropriate beauty products into my daily regime since I haven’t changed my every day look in a couple of years and what better time to start than in the fall? Fall is far better than the dreadful summertime where everyday is hot and sweaty and I’m expected to wear shorts 24/7 (my friend Stephanie loves summer for those exact reasons). I love the blissful transition into autumn because we have the return of high school and college football, the days get a little chillier (even here in Hawaiʻi on occasion!), and the best beauty and fashion looks arrive. Of course there’s also the impending advent of the holiday season and what greater time of year exists than that? In order to challenge myself in the makeup realm, I’m trying out easy fall beauty looks (here’s the last beauty post I shared) with products I already own and love and today’s look is all about the darker products made suitable for every day. I used to wear dark plum and red lip products every day in high school (I was still in my slightly emo phase and for some reason sported a black wool beanie and black combat boots in 80-90 degree weather), so I’m no stranger to the bold lip. In this easy fall look I lightly patted on a thin layer of my favorite ever Burberry Lip Mist in Oxblood, which the brand sadly doesn’t make anymore. They still do an Oxblood shade in their Liquid Lip Velvet and Lip Velvet, but those two are far more matte and pigmented than I like. I went super light on the base by only using a bit of concealer, powder, and blush all over my cheeks and nose, and did my regular eyebrow routine. On the eyes, I lightly drew on the NYX Liner Stick in Deepest Brown and smudged it out with a dark brown eyeshadow before applying lots of mascara. To stay near to my “TikTok niche,” I talked about Baylor Football over the past 7 games and recited many a stat. Have a watch of my video and enjoy!
