Despite what I believed was an excellently packed suitcase (see what I brought, here!), I was somehow wholly unprepared for the weather during our Texas trip! When I looked up the week’s forecast it seemed like we’d have some cooler days but Waco would mostly be in the high 70s-80s. And boy was I wrong! During almost our entire trip, the temperatures were in the 50s-60s with tons of blistering winds to make us even colder. On probably the chilliest day we spent in Waco, my family and I met my BFF Jonathan and his wife Urn at the Waco Farmer’s Market (read about it here) for breakfast and/or snacks. I picked one of my favorite outfits ever with lots of pink on the top and bottom of my body for pops of spring color! The shade of pink on my sweater, scarf (worn as a headband), and shoes matched perfectly and I was so happy with how the look turned out. I started with this chunky pink sweater from J.Crew I purchased last fall but haven’t worn yet (besides in this TikTok styling video). I thought my favorite Levi’s 724 High Rise Straight jeans would be warm enough for the windy weather outside, but I was not correct. Of course of the four pairs of flats I brought on the trip I picked my girly pink J.Crew ballet flats, which are both beautiful and comfortable as hell! We didn’t walk much that day (too cold, remember?) but I could’ve gone miles in these flats. Pick up a pair while they’re on sale!! That day was my wash day so I had to figure out a cute hairstyle that would keep my not-so-clean curls out of the way, so I went with these space buns and twisted my favorite silk scarf into a headband. I threw on my old J.Crew blue puffy earrings and finished with the ever so reliable Madewell shoulder tote. I hope you all like this look!
