There are many names on “Noelle’s List of Amazing Males” (yes this list exists and yes many of the men are football players and musicians) and with my dad, grandpa, and papa reigning in the top three, Baylor head coach Art Briles and defensive coordinator Phil Bennett finish out the leading five (featuring Coach Kaz Kazadi). Coach Briles and Coach Bennett took a Baylor football team with a combined record of 35-94 and led them to multiple bowl game wins, helped to create a Heisman trophy winner, won two back-to-back Big 12 Championships, earned a No. 2 ranking in the nation, and established a 28-4 record in the last two seasons. These two men were born on this day 60 years ago and changed the history of college football forever. They are two of my biggest heroes and the world of Baylor football would not be the same without them. Happy birthday to two of the greatest inspirations to ever exist!
