This birthday was an interesting one for me. I guess because I am getting older, I don’t feel as though my birthday is a huge day anymore. When I was younger, I would shout from the rooftops that today was my day. Today I just didn’t feel that giddy, but overall, I had a really great day. I’m learning that it’s not so much about me anymore but that spending time with family and friends is the most important thing! Anyway, I wanted to share my birthday makeup with you guys!
Surprisingly, I used pretty much all drugstore products for my ‘birthday face’. I started off with my new Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous foundation in 845. I’m really loving this foundation and I predict that a full review will be coming up soon! I then concealed any spots or redness with the Maybelline Super Stay concealer, which is just great and easy to blend. I set my base with the Airspun Loose Face Powder in the shade Transluscent. This powder was an amazing recommendation from Tati, so I knew I just had to try it out! I highlighted my browbone and cheekbones with the Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Stick in Bulletproof Beige for a soft sheen. For cheeks, I added a touch of the Milani Baked Blush in Rose D’Oro, which is the most gorgeous color for winter!
I primed my eyes with my oh-so-loved Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze (not pictured above and I don’t know why!) for a shimmery base. On top of that, I added my L’Oreal Infallible Eye Shadow in Bronzed Taupe and a touch of Bobbi Brown’s Chocolate Brown in the crease and under the eyes. For subtle liner, I made an extremely thin line on my upper lashline with the Maybelline Master Smoky Pencil in Scorching Brown. I topped it all off with Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara (also not pictured above!), which is my absolute favorite mascara of all time. I completed my look with the Maybelline Color Elixir in the shade Caramel Infused for a soft, natural lip.
I’m very grateful for such an amazing birthday filled with good food, laughs, and family. Here’s to a great year!
