Welcome to Blogmas Day 12! I can’t believe that we’re nearly halfway through Blogmas! Where is December going? As winter is upon us, I thought I’d share with all of you some of my favorite red lipsticks/balms/lacquers for the holidays! I’m a huge fan of a bold red lip anytime throughout the year, but there’s just something especially magical about a red lip on Christmas or New Year’s eve. I have a good assortment of high end products as well as some drugstore options for the budget gal. Let’s hop into everything!

For the true lipstick fan: A fantastic matte red lipstick can be found all over the drugstore, but my favorite is Wet n Wild’s Stoplight Red. This lipstick is an excellent dupe for MAC’s Ruby Woo. The staying power is amazing on this little tube and for only $2.99, it’s an incredible bargain! My favorite way to wear it is with a few swipes of Covergirl Clump Crusher and NARS Sheer Glow as to add a bit of sheen to the skin.
For the lip balm fanatic: This Revlon lip butter in Wild Watermelon is my all time favorite, mentioned many times here on the blog. For the gal who’s not quite ready for a full on bold lip yet, this is the perfect doze of moisture and color for the holiday season.
For the everyday red lip: The Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in Mightiest Maraschino is incredibly easy to apply as it doesn’t need a lip liner and it lasts hours. The twist up crayon packaging is perfect for the handbag and for touch ups on the go. The moisturizing finish looks beautiful with bronzed skin and some highlighter.
For the glam party look: Although I’m not a huge advocate of lip lacquers, I do love a good luxury lip product (especially from YSL)! This Yves Saint Laurent glossy stain in Rouge #9 is the perfect red lip stain for a holiday party. With flawless matte skin and some liquid liner, it’s easy to get that “chic, old Hollywood” look that’s always popular during Christmas or New Years!
