It never truly feels like the holiday season until my parents hang all of their Christmas lights and decor around the house. Most of our decorations are from the births of my sister Megan and I, but mom often brings home new pieces from the Target dollar spot as well. Each main room of the house is decorated with lights or holiday characters such as Santa or mini decorative Christmas trees. In the dining room we have a few fun placemats to match the medium-sized poinsettia pot. Gingerbread men and stuffed creatures line our cabinets and table tops. We decorated our Christmas tree with all of our favorite ornaments and I only complained a little when Megan’s multiple personalized pieces were hung as my one disappeared between the branches. I love decorating the house with my family as it’s finally starting to feel like the holidays!
