About Me

Aloha! My name is Noelle and I’m the face and brain behind This Is Noelle. I started this blog at the end of 2012 when I wanted my own space to create and share pieces of my life. I’m a Hawaiian and Japanese girl from Hawaiʻi and a mother to seven (previously nine; Rest In Peace my sweetest Michael and Quentin) furry children (four dogs and three cats—five of which are foster fails). When I’m not working or taking care of my beloved children, I’m contributing to Our Daily Bears, scouring Poshmark and Savers racks for secondhand treasures, cooking new recipes, brainstorming and styling outfits, researching social justice issues, watching and writing about football, and scream-singing my favorite Chappell Roan/MUNA/The Last Dinner Party/Manchester Orchestra songs. I used to mainly blog about beauty, but I’ve gradually transformed into a lifestyle blogger focusing on style, sports, and social justice. My true passions are Prison Industrial Complex abolition, cooking, Communism, and football (in no particular order). I hope to retire when I’m 40 years old because I was not built to work! If any of my previously mentioned topics are of interest to you, have a look around this space and stay in contact with me!
