When I aspired to become a fashion designer, I admired every iconic person in the industry from Coco Chanel to Anna Wintour and beyond. One of my favorite fashion figures was legendary photographer Bill Cunningham. Known for his signature cobalt blue jacket, Cunningham has been the fashion photographer for the New York Times. The photographer could easily be spotted traveling the city on a bicycle with his camera around his waist, shooting candid photos of street style phenoms. After studying Cunningham’s work and researching the artist, I vowed to meet him one day and record my outfits through his lens. Unfortunately, Cunningham passed away after recently suffering from a stroke. He will always be remembered for his kindness and creativity, capturing beautiful people in a beautiful way.
