Baylor Football Releases 2018 Schedule

The Baylor football team announced the dates and locations for the 2018 season and, as always, it looks to be a doozy. The Big 12 is a consistently difficult conference in which to compete as each team has its share of strengths and weaknesses every season. Every other season is especially rough because the Bears challenge the toughest opponents on away fields. I have faith that next year’s Baylor football team will be a collection of fighters who will win many games. This season has been difficult simply because they are starting handfuls of freshmen and sophomores and are implementing brand new schemes from a fresh coaching staff. However, as the players mature throughout the rest of this year and through the off season, the 18-19 year old boys will strengthen and improve. Next season, the Bears will play a game every week of September, concluding the month challenging Oklahoma in Norman. While they open October with a Kansas State competition, they have two bye weeks and face Texas and West Virginia away. In November, the Bears host two games against Oklahoma State and TCU, but challenge Iowa State and Texas Tech on their opponents’ home field.
