Baylor football’s 2018 class grows bigger with two new additions. Connor Galvin was the first of the day- a senior OT at Katy High School. The 3-star athlete would help to fill a space in the Bears’ lack of OL depth after he graduates next year. With offers from prestigious programs such as Oregon State, Texas Tech, TCU, Florida, Houston, Duke and UCLA, Galvin was a highly touted prospect whose commitment to Baylor will instantly boost the Bears’ talent. At 6-6 and 260 pounds, Galvin is the perfect size for the Bears’ frontline. Baylor’s second commit of the day came from LB Joseph Ogunbanjo, a senior at Alief Taylor. The fellow 2018 commit also boasts 3-stars and an ideal size at 6-2.5 and 215 pounds. Ogunbanjo collected offers from top DI universities such as Arizona, California, Houston, Arizona State, Texas Tech, Indiana, and Utah. As Baylor loses a handful of defensive stars next year, Ogunbanjo has the opportunity to find his way in a starting position on the field.
